First stop is Tzoumerka village. Admire the breathtaking views as you visit the Kipina Monastery, the villages of Kalarrites and Pramanta, the Anemotripa Cave. Have a stop at Arachthos River, the location of the famous and historic stone bridge of Plaka.
Then, head to Katarraktis village and to Tzoumerka where you can enjoy views of the waterfalls as well as a break for a coffee, tea, or juice.
Next is Anemotripa Cave, a magical place where a river crosses the whole cave. Stop at Pramanta and take a walk in the village and admire the scenery.
Do rafting in Arachthos river. The route is filled with impressive natural beauty, the highlight being when we passed through the narrowest point of the gorge. Its towering rock sides, which, from below, seemed as if they would touch at the top, was a magical spectacle. The route reached its end soon after this point, at the single-arch Plaka bridge, which, following its collapse, was entirely reconstructed to fully resemble the original structure.
Follow the path, crossing the quaint bridges as you make the 5km walk from Katarraktis Village in search of the impressive twin waterfalls of the same name.
Overnight in Tzoumerka.
After breakfast, visit Metsovo, a mountainous village, which offers bountiful experiences to its visitors, it is often called the Switzerland of Greece.
Spectacular natural beauty, authentic traditional character, ski-slopes and wine culture, Metsovo and its inhabitants will charm you with its tasteful charm. Metsovo is famous for its winery and also for its local dairy products. I suggest you taste the famous cheese, Metsovone, a semi-hard smoked cheese, made from a mixture of cow’s and goat’s milk and roasted meat and buy homemade pasta.
